Style File: What's HOT! Part 1 - JUMPSUITS & ROMPERS

Hello again my dears!

As NYFW approaches, I thought it would be a great time to share my picks of what's hot and on trend for the impending Spring weather.  Have you started stacking your wardrobe yet?  What have your made?  Lets run down the list of staples that can successfully get you though the Spring!

The Perfect Jumpsuit & Rompers

I mean, this should be completely obvious by now.... I live my life in a jumpsuit!

Clover Canyon painted wrap jumpsuit: A great play on proportions, this jumpsuit has an elegant wrap element as well as a wide leg cropped cut.  This look and easily be accomplished by mixing M6083 (HERE) (cropped) with added sleeves, bias tape for defined lines, as well as a belt.  For a bold statement select fabrics that stand out like this  (HERE), (HERE), & (HERE)

Monroe Crepe Jumpsuit:  There is nothing better than a jumpsuit that you can dress up or down.  Having the versatility between a fly pair of sneakers, flats or sandals is priceless!  This look and easily transform from day to night with a switch of footwear and accessories!  Mixing a relaxed pant pattern like S1428 (HERE) , simple tank pattern like M6359 (HERE), or even the top of  M6752 (HERE) you can easily accomplish this look.  For fabric, select bold silks like (HERE), (HERE), & (HERE).  You can also do this in one shot by using M6848 and extending the shorts into pants.

Sass & Bride "The Last Thing" Jumpsuit:  One can never have too much denim!  The faux wrap top can be created from pattern S1880 (HERE) and the bottom S1428  (HERE) as well.  with a thin belt and an additional cresent shaped front overlap, this jumpsuit can be accomplished in no time!  A light weight denim is key to the close body drape (9-10 oz or less).  Try (HERE), (HERE), & (HERE)

While you are at it, get your Luli Fama romper on with the same top and M6848 pattern for the bottom (HERE).  Fabric options (HERE), (HERE), (HERE), & (HERE)

Michael Stars 3/4 sleeve button down romper:  This jumpsuit is great with panel fabrics.  A simple button down pattern mixed with a relaxed fit bottom and you can create this jumpsuit in about 2 hours EASY!  Pattern S2255 (HERE) and M6848 (HERE) can get the job done.  As for fabrics, select panels or fabrics with mixed designs to accomplish this look.  Mixing (HERE) and (HERE) could work as great contrasts!

What jumpsuit/Rompers are you looking forward to creating this Spring?  Let me know! Stay tuned for my Style files tomorrow.  Coming up next... The perfect shoes!
